  1. What a great profile, Maureen! I love how snarky the author is!
    I had never heard of Zahi Hawass, but this article does a good job of painting a picture of him that's interesting because he seems like a diva.
    “I gave one just like this to President Bush,” he said with the casual tone of a name dropper. “His wife said it was too small for his head. He was very disappointed.”
    I just love how this guy can take Hawass' arrogant words and let them not only shine on their own, but sparkle with his smart comments.
    So easy to read, I liked it a lot! Thanks!

  2. The lede is the best part of the piece. It has rhythm. First a set-up, then a punch. Continuing on, then another punch and Hawass is introduced. It's almost flashy, and I think, reflects Hawass' personality.
